Our 5th Year Anniversary...Part 1

A grand total of four days! We have relaxed, beat the damn heat here in NYC, celebrated our love and togetherness, and plain ol enjoy as much as we can of this modest anniversary :) this past Thursday and Friday; we took a few short rides here and there because, like I had said, NYC is in the middle of a heat wave. I mean its TERRIBLEEEEEE over here....if not for the humidity, it wouldn't be so bad, but b.c of this demon called humidity it feels almost 110! PHOENIX, Arizona was LESS HOT than here on the east coast! OMFG DUDE....but for the past day or so, the weather man is predicting thunderstorms, alas we are all still waiting for this TT'' I can speak for the all 5 boroughs here: WE NEED SOME SWEET RELIEF!

OKOKOK...rant finished...here are some pix from the start of our weekend...I had gotten my Nikon Coolpix S3100 on Friday; so I took a bunch more pics on Fri. than Thurs.

Updating for the sake of updating

Posts are few in between this week. Being my 5 year anniversary with Hubb, and waiting on my new camera, there isn't much else going on....but that'll change by Friday! I am so lucky to have such a great man in my life. My father was the example set upon me when it came to how a man needs to treat a woman. Since his loss,one year 3 days to the T) I was given the opportunity to meet the man I would soon marry....thanks Daddy, you sent him to me...you knew I needed him...you would have loved him :') The next week will be emotional, but I'm hoping for cooler weather here in NYC because I plan on using the early mornings to take practice runs around the neighboorhood and with traffic. I am still feeling somewhat intimidated, but I guess by being safe and cautious and FULLY aware, then I will be ok. The horror stories and just plain ol stories I have been reading on do not help...alas....it is my own doing so I have but myself to blame.
Instead of dreading, I am learning to happily anticipate whatever life has to offer me..I have plenty to be happy and grateful for. I live a humble life with my wonderful man by my side, in a wonderful private house with a wonderful landlord

Can't wait to get my new camera this Friday :D

Quick ride on a Sunday morning..

Not much today except a relatively quick ride to our neighborhood shopping center for some knick-knacks and a bit of food for the house. Being my first time back on my bike, we kept it close and took it slow, we made it a nice ride regardless :)  

 Started decorating my bike basket! Not finished yet though...ill keep this and my hat post for when I'm done

Getting home, we put the groceries away, made some hot dogs, and I got to cleaning down and polishing S.D with some good ol fashioned Turtle Wax :) Nothing much else for this Sunday....clearing my mind for all there is to do next week...till next time!
